About Ferguson Finch

Behind Ferguson Finch are two sisters Sharyn and Kylie, who call Williamstown & Newport home. Between them, they bring a lifetime of adventure, entrepreneurship, and heart. Sharyn spent her career flying the world with Qantas as a flight attendant and cabin manager, developing a keen eye for beauty and the kind of warm hospitality that makes people feel instantly at ease. Kylie channelled her energy into building businesses alongside her husband while raising three children, bringing a grounded creativity and a deep understanding of what makes a space truly special. Different paths, but the same soul β€” and when they came together to open Ferguson Finch, something wonderful happened.

Their shared passion is simple: creating a space that feels beautiful, welcoming, and a little bit magical. They love nothing more than tracking down unique, unexpected pieces β€” and hearing from customers that walking through the door just makes them happy. That means everything to them. Both sisters live locally with their families (and their cats and dogs), and feel genuinely privileged to be part of this remarkable little corner of Melbourne. Ferguson Finch isn't just a shop β€” it's a labour of love, rooted firmly in the community they adore.

We love where we work. Our home at 56–58 Ferguson Street has been a cornerstone of Williamstown life since 1887, when it first opened its doors as the Melbourne Savings Bank. Designed by architects Wight and Lucas in the Italian Renaissance Revival style, this beautiful two-storey corner building served the local community for over a century β€” welcoming neighbours through its doors as a bank right up until 1995. These days, it's us behind the door. The building is heritage-listed as part of Williamstown's Ferguson Street precinct, a stretch of streetscape that has been at the centre of this community since the mid-1800s. We think there's something special about being part of that story, and we hope you feel it when you visit.
